The hotel was quite cold, I expected to enjoy a warm cozy getaway, not this chilly nightmare. On top of that, I was further disappointed when staff didn't seem to understand that guests deserve the lounge too! Absolutely ridiculous. I almost gave a good review, but where was my complimentary wine for such inconveniences?

Lounge bar, a nice size room with fantastic views across to Arran, an operational shower, as for instance. Large and delicious breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and perfect location.

Clean, comfortable room with a fine view of Arran. Generous breakfast portions with tasty homemade bread.
Heating system under-powered. Long wait for hot water produced several wasted gallons. The guest lounge was often occupied by staff.

The view from my room was amazing, but hot water took ages to arrive.

What a mighty stay! The home-cooked food was just grand, especially that beef dinner! The owners are real sound folks, making me feel right at home. Only downside was the outside could use a bit of sprucing up, but inside is a gem!

would come here again
Our King Room had a fab view of the sea. A cozy fireplace. Super comfy bed, and the private bathroom had fresh towels and free toiletries. The staff was super helpful, and the dinner menu was tasty! Loved the local gin at the bar too. Very dog friendly, they even had treats!

cozy room but lacking evening charm
The room was lovely and bright, offering tasteful decoration and a spacious bathroom. I enjoyed the two windows overlooking the garden. The golf course beside the hotel provided beautiful views and a tranquil atmosphere during the day.
The hotel feels somewhat jaded and lacks inviting charm, especially from the exterior.

Lovely, comfortable room with in-room breakfast and helpful staff. Wi-Fi was spotty, though.

The Carradale offered a comfortable stay with a clean room and a fantastic cooked breakfast. I appreciated the simple, home-cooked evening menu, well-prepared and fulfilling. The hospitality from Rhona and the staff was commendable. Special touches like fresh milk and water instead of UHT cartons enhanced the experience, showcasing the owners' dedication to guest satisfaction.
The exterior of the hotel could use improvement.
